My name is composer Doyle W. Donehoo, and I am a resident of San Jose California. I compose and produce dramatic music for games and all mixed media with the highest production values using the latest in music technology. My credits include scoring the games Warhammer: Space Hulk Deathwing (PCGAMER Review 60%), Warhammer: Battlefleet Gothic Armada (PCGAMER Review 80%), Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 (PCGAMER 2009 Strategy Game of the Year, Reviewed 86%), Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising (PCGAMER Editors Choice Award, Reviewed 91%), America's Army 2 and 3 (CGW Editors Choice Award, PCGAMER Review 88%), Savage 2 (PCGAMER Review 73%), Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2: Retribution (PCGAMER Review 85%). Dawn of War 2 won the Canadian Videogame Award for Best Audio. Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising was a finalist for the Canadian Videogame Award for Best Audio. I have other credits in movies, trailers and TV. I have been a musician all my life and my studio is always on the technical leading edge of music and sound. I am an expert in symphonic virtual orchestral music and mixed hybrid media. My 20 years as a former software engineer and manager makes me uniquely qualified for the technical and computer driven nature of today's music and I am well used to leading all projects to conclusion under extreme pressure. I have been contracted as an audio engineer and producer for game voice talent and as a consultant for other composers to bring them up to speed with the virtual orchestra. I have lectured at the Game Developer Conference (GDC), colleges and at NAMM on the subject of the computer based Virtual Orchestra, and I have written technical articles for various publications such as Music4Games and Virtual Instruments magazine as well as writing many software and hardware reviews. I have provided service as a beta tester and consultant for several well know music technology companies. I think you will find that my music is comparable to anything heard in games, movies or television today, and you my be happy to find that I often exceed expectations. My motto is "It's your music, tell me what you want!". Thanks for visiting this site! |
