Circle the Cirque Crest

The historic Copper Creek Trail at Upper Tent Meadow. You can see the white "Tent" rock the meadow was named after that resembles an old time A frame canvas tent. The snow beyond tells you this picture was taken early season. You can just make out the trail below heading towards the trees on the left.

Day 2. Sunday, August 31. The upward grind continued in the moderate heat. Dave got his second wind and headed up the hill ahead of me, and I was content to stroll along in my normal uphill pace. I was glad to get into the trees above Upper Tent Meadow (I finally saw the "tent" shaped rock) and out of the sun and most of the heat.
