Below were new obstacles to surmount in the form of ledges, ramps, and some climbing that only revealed more narrowing of the canyon below, more bush, and more talus. One section of the river actually allowed us to walk fairly easily along the river for several hundred yards, and I realized this was the spot Phil Arnot took the picture in the Blanco that was in his book.
