As if the views weren't spectacular enough, there are even more nearby. Walk north to the eastern Twin Peak, no more than a 10 minute walk from the trail. On your way you will see some strange and interesting rock formations to the northwest and eventually you will come to the base of the peak. Look for the "window" looking north for a breathtaking view more than 1200 feet straight down to Lost Lake and lake 9292, both part of the Sheep Camp Lakes chain below Twin Peaks. To the east you look down on Ranger Lake (the next destination) and further west down the ridge you can see Seville Lake and lake 9284. You can climb to the summit of eastern Twin Peak, but climb responsibly and safely.
