Above Ediza and Iceberg Lake

A Cross-Country Traverse of the Minarets, August/September 2006

To the south-west of Ediza Lake is a large alpine meadow area, and a gentle slope leading to the ridge above Iceberg Lake. If you are staying in this area and you have the time, a stroll in this area is a must-do.

Minatets Trip

The meadow to the South-west of Ediza Lake, looking south-west towards glaciers and Minarets.

When I was attempting the Cecile Lake route, from my camp near Ediza Lake I backpacked through this meadow, to the ridge, and down to the  Iceberg Lake outlet. One of the reasons I went that way was that I missed the Iceberg Lake trail in the bushes at the trail junction. It is easy to miss.
