Sphinx Lakes in Kings Canyon

The giant "Sphinx" looms overhead through the spray of Bubbs Creek and water cascading down from above. A hint of a rainbow can be seen below the glacier scoured flanks of "The Sphinx".

Soon, the trail rounds the ridge at the opening of the Bubbs Creek Canyon affording yet another perspective of "The Sphinx" high above, before entering at long last the welcome shade of trees.
