The shade at the end of the bridge is one of the many places available to unload, eat and relax before the pitch up The Sphinx Creek Trail. The is also a great opportunity to refill waterbottles from Bubbs Creek.

Bubbs Creek Bridge

After more thirst-inducing switchbacks and close encounters with Bubbs Creek, the trail reaches a junction and the first well used legal campground and the bearboxes that means this camp is frequented by bears. The trail to Sphinx Lakes takes the right fork and crosses over a steel and wood bridge, a great place to rest, eat, and refill your water bottles for the serious climbing ahead. Once refreshed, it is time for the Sphinx Creek Trail!
