A Walk on the Tablelands

Table39

There is Pterodactyl Pass at mid picture. Once again the cross-country is smooth sailing.

Pterodactyl Pass

On the other side of the ridge we saw our next destination: Pterodactyl Pass. Here we were actually looking down on the pass, and once again it looked like easy going. Below and about half way to the pass was unexpectedly complex terrain, with rocky islands and passageways, snow-fields and undulating terrain. However when we got there we found an easy passage to the rock scattered granite pavements and slabs beyond. The terrain was slightly rougher than most of the days walking, but still easy. I got into some talus, but that was mostly my fault and sorry route-finding on my part.
