The Long and Winding Trail

It was an easy cruise back to the junction of Trail Crest, punctuated with picture taking and view admiring. It was distinctly warmer, and became warmer as I descended. The surrounding rocks and soil are very lightly colored and tended to reflect light. I was glad I was not going in the upward direction with a large pack. It would be hot and brutal.
