Keep your eyes open for the trail to the left leading to Sugarloaf Meadow, where a packer campsite and bearbox reside in a group of trees. At this point you have gone 7.7 miles from Ranger Lake. Other camping opportunities exist in this area. There are a few popular pitches on the Sugarloaf for those hardy rock climbers who lugged climbing gear all this way. Considering Sugarloaf is the highest point inside the valley, the views from the top would be expansive.
