If you have been following these pages in order you have been on a cross-country trip of the upper basins of the headwaters of the North Fork Kings River. We have closed the loop of our hike and we are back at Portal Lake to enjoy the afternoon breezes and the laughing waters. Next we travel cross-country to Crown Basin and to Mantle Pass to gaze into Blue Canyon beyond a large high lake. Its time to go...
