Around the lowest lake to the right was the best camping, with dry flat areas and plenty of granite.

The time I first visited these lakes, it was early season and very hot and muggy. To the right of the above picture, the trail climbs up to the other lakes in this chain of lakes. These lakes are right at treeline, my favorite kind of country.
