Getting to Anne Lake was simplicity itself, merely a grassy stroll between stunted stands of trees and slab granite.I hit the shore of Anne Lake and took a few moments to admire the view of the Silver Divide over the calm reflective waters of Anne Lake.

I turned left and hiked a ways, but it got progressively complex and broken, and it did not seem worthwhile to continue on. I did find an interesting shelter someone built, not that I would want to spend any time in it. I turned back towards the north-west to see what was there.
