A Solo Hike Along the Silver Divide

On the Brink
Silver Divide Trip from Edison Lake Trailhead, August 2001
After checking out the bowl to the west, part of the upper canyon of Olive Lake (I could have went down there), I walked east to the brink of the wall over Peter Panda Lake to catch the views of the greater area towards the Sierra Crest. Once I had my fill of the view, I began to climb towards point 10,283.
The way was easy, with no problems that a little route-finding could not solve. I reached the first bushy summit, the higher summit at about 10,318, with no problems to speak of. I found some evidence of human visitation in the form of a duck, but that was expected. Once again I took in the views and snapped a few pictures before heading for the other summit.
