A Walk on the Tablelands

Moonrise over the Great Western Divide in the alpenglow. That's me out there. Can you guess the name of the peak over my head? I knew you could. Photo by Dave E.

You Know, I Don't Think There is Any Moose Here

Our camp had a large population of Marmots, and generally nosed around us and our gear. Meanwhile we had an excellent place to set up a kitchen, from where we could watch the moon rise and alpine-glow on the great divide. As soon as the sun set it got very cold and windy, and flapped around my bivy-tent. Soon after we retreated to our respective bags, and shortly I fell asleep to the tune of flapping tent material.
