The Benson Lake Loop

Benson Lake Loop Trip

This is a shot over the larger but shallow eastern Robinson Lake, looking towards the outlet of Robinson Creek. Beyond is Victoria and Hunewell Peaks, both over 11,000 feet. In the trees on the right is a camp.

The Benson Lake Loop, August 2002

I have too few words and many pictures of the Robertson Lake area. This page has only a few of the pictures I have, but I think it is worthwhile showing this gallery of pictures. An opportunity to point out some named peaks.

Benson Lake Loop

From the isthmus between the two small Robinson Lakes, this is looking west towards the trail entrance to these lakes. In the distance is Center Mountain (11,271 feet) and Circue Mountain.

Benson Lake Loop

In the distance is Kettle Peak over the eastern Robinson Lake outlet, as seen near the entrance to the isthmus between the two small lakes. There is a camp in the trees on the right. This shows how shallow the lake really is

Benson Lake Loop

Hunewell Peak looms in the distance over Robinson Lake near where the trail leaves the lakes.
