From "Picket Col", we looked back down Picket Creek to see Wallace Basin above the lakelets of Picket Creek.

Before the very summit of the col, we looked back the way we came for the outstanding view over the Picket Creek drainage. So far the cross-country had been great. No doubt about it, we were at the summit of timberline.

This is the approach to "Picket Col" from the North. Looks easy. IS easy.
