After the meadow, the trail took another moderate plunge before entering another thick swampy forest area. A short jaunt later I was at the JMT trail junction and making time on this back-country super-highway.

Minatets Trip

Johnson Lake near the junction of the John Muir Trail.

Immediately after the JMT trail junction I reached Johnson Lake for a short break (food!) and a few pictures. Then it was back to the now well churned John Muir Trail.
