A Short Trip in the Pioneer Basin Area

Evening At Lower Hopkins Lake
A Pioneer Basin Trip from Edison Lake, June 2003
As evening rolled around I walked around to the north end of the lake to take in one of the best views of the trip. I remember thinking on the way back from our little hike that this would be a great spot for a picture, and it sure exceeded my expectations. Gook lake, good camp, solitude, the alpen-glow, no bugs, great weather...what more could you ask of a stay in the Range of Light?
After a relaxing evening, I had no trouble turning in at dusk for a sound nights sleep.
