A Walk on the Tablelands

People can and do hike down into this canyon from the Tablelands. It is reported to be mosquito hell during certain parts of the year. In the summer of 2000, we would be crossing the creek below twice on our Kern-Kaweah trip. this stream ends up in Roaring River.

Furguson Canyon

After a break, we clomped over a huge snow-bank towards a canyon, and scrambled up to a small ridge to an overlook of Furguson Canyon and its vast meadow. We could clearly see Furguson Creek snaking through the green canyon meadows before it finally disappeared into the trees far down canyon.
