For a good stretch of the route the trail was fairly level below the wall of Wildcat Point, and consequently the river calmed as well. Dave had to remind me to look back along that section to catch the great view down-river. I whipped out my camera…

It seemed like every turn of the trail revealed another great vista, another falls, another hissing foaming cascade, another handsome group of granite slabs and domes. This was a very attractive section of trail.

Another un-named falls below California Falls, just before a level stretch of river.
